I am Phyllis Walters, PhD, NCSP, a licensed and nationally certified school psychologist with over 20 years of experience in providing counseling and consultation services for individuals, couples, families, and children. My mission is to help you build a healthful way of living by enhancing your wisdom, optimism, and resilience. I offer a range of services including counseling, assessments, and consultations for various issues such as anxiety, depression, learning problems, behavioral difficulties, difficult decisions, self-esteem, divorce, blended family integration, traumatic brain injury, addiction, and personal growth.

My approach is based on humanistic psychology and incorporates specialties in school psychology, cognitive behavior therapy, hypnosis, family therapy, and play therapy.

I earned my Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and my Master of Science degree in School Psychology from the University of Alabama. Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings including the Florida school system, private practice, hospitals, community mental health centers, and a University Mental Health Clinic. This diverse experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to address a wide range of concerns.
