Our experienced and licensed therapist, Betsy Madden-Echols, LICSW, has over 20 years of experience in providing confidential and effective counseling services to adults in the Portsmouth, Newport, Bristol, Rhode Island, and Fall River, Massachusetts areas.

Our Approach to Counseling

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, while Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on understanding the impact of your past experiences on your present relationships and emotions. Interpersonal Therapy is tailored to improve your communication skills and relationships.

As a licensed therapist, Betsy Madden-Echols has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She's also a member of the National Association of Social Workers. With over two decades of experience, you can trust that your care is in good hands.

Appointments and Insurance

Appointments can be arranged by calling our office at (401) 864-8504. We offer in-person and teletherapy sessions, and we're available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We accept a variety of insurance plans, including BCBS, FEP, and Medicare, as well as self-pay options. Please note that we require 24-hour notice for cancelling appointments.
