Empowering individuals through connection and relationships
At SeaGlass Counseling, we are dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate environment for individuals to heal and grow. Our practice is built on the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship, where the client-therapist connection is at the heart of the healing process.
Services
As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience in private practice, I have the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds and struggles. My services include individual and couples therapy, as well as equine psychotherapy. I work with clients to develop coping skills, increase balance and meaningful connections, and process feelings and emotions. My approach is tailored to each individual, incorporating various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Relational Cultural Theory, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.
Therapy Services
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, allowing clients the flexibility to access therapy in a way that is most convenient for them. In-person sessions take place in my office in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, while telehealth sessions are available Tuesday through Thursday. My schedule is designed to accommodate clients with busy lifestyles, offering evening and daytime appointments.
In addition to individual therapy, I also offer Gottman Couples Sessions, which provide couples with the tools and guidance to strengthen their relationships. These sessions are private pay only and are available on a limited basis. For those seeking more intense therapy, I offer therapy intensives, which enable clients to work through challenging issues in a shorter period.
Equine Psychotherapy
As the only certified equine therapist in the region, I have the unique opportunity to incorporate the therapeutic benefits of horses into my practice. Equine psychotherapy utilizes the powerful bonding between humans and horses to promote emotional growth, increased self-awareness, and enhanced relationships. My Equine Psychotherapy sessions take place at Shady Oak Farm in Cape Elizabeth, where clients can connect with the beautiful trails and the peaceful surroundings.
About Me
As a licensed clinical social worker, I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of New England. I have been licensed in both Maine and Massachusetts and have extensive experience working in private practice. My certification in Embodied Equine Psychotherapy has enabled me to expand my services and offer a unique and innovative approach to mental health care.
Practice Philosophy
At SeaGlass Counseling, we believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and resilience. Our practice is founded on the principles of Relational Cultural Theory, which views isolation as a major source of suffering and emphasizes the importance of strong, healthy connections and relationships. We take a client-centered approach, empowering individuals to empower themselves in their healing process.
