At our practice, we believe that every individual has the capacity to learn, grow, and thrive. As a licensed clinical and sports psychologist, I, Dr. John M. McCauley, have dedicated my career to helping individuals and athletes achieve their full potential. With extensive experience in clinical and sports psychology, I have worked with patients from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome a wide range of mental health challenges.

Our Treatment Philosophy

My approach to therapy is centered around creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where individuals can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. My philosophy is rooted in my own personal and professional journey, drawing from experiences ranging from my time in the US Marine Corps to my extensive training in clinical psychology. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, self-awareness, and transformation.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy sessions, I work closely with clients to help them identify and address the root causes of their mental health challenges. Through a collaborative and empathetic approach, I guide individuals in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, their emotions, and their experiences. This enables them to develop coping strategies, build resilience, and work towards achieving their personal and professional goals.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, I work with both partners to identify and address the underlying issues affecting their relationship. By fostering open communication, trust, and understanding, I help couples develop a stronger bond and improve their overall communication.

Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma

As a clinical psychologist, I have extensive experience in treating a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and trauma. Using evidence-based therapies and techniques, I work with individuals to develop healthy coping mechanisms, build resilience, and overcome the challenges they face.

Sport Psychology

In sport psychology, I work with athletes to develop a personalized training program tailored to their specific needs and goals. Through this approach, athletes can improve their performance, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Our practice offers a range of tools and skills to support individual and collective growth. From relaxation techniques to autogenic training, I provide individuals with the tools they need to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve their overall well-being.
