Where Well-being Meets Wholeness

Welcome to my website! I'm Dr. Kathleen Cramer, and I'm a licensed clinical, educational, and forensic psychologist with a Ph. D. in Educational Psychology. I'm committed to providing high-quality psychological services to my clients, and I'm honored that you're considering me for your mental health needs. In this section, I'll share some general information about my practice, policies, and procedures.

The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) is a recent development that allows psychologists to practice telepsychology across state lines. I'm proud to announce that I've been awarded the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT), allowing me to serve patients who reside in any PSYPACT state. If you're a resident of a PSYPACT state and have had difficulty finding a psychologist who feels like a "good fit, " I encourage you to contact me.

Education and Training

I received my Ph. D. in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University, graduating with honors in 2003. I then completed a postdoctoral residency in clinical and forensic psychology, becoming a licensed psychologist in September 2004. Since then, I've worked as a clinical and forensic psychologist, gaining extensive experience in psychotherapy, consultations, and psychological evaluations/testing. I'm a member of the American Psychological Association, American Psychology-Law Society, and Arizona Psychological Association.

Services Offered

My practice offers psychological/neuropsychological testing and individual therapy. Through psychological testing, I can diagnose various learning disorders, Autism-spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance-use disorders, cognitive disorders, and personality disorders. My approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning that I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. I place a strong emphasis on techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which has been shown to be highly effective in treating various mental health conditions.

My individual therapy services can help those struggling with various diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and physical disabilities. However, you don't need to have a "problem" or "disorder" to benefit from individual therapy. I can help people make important decisions, learn how to manage their lives more productively, and improve their overall psychological health.

Confidentiality

Most patient-therapist communications are confidential, but there are some exceptions, such as interventions when you might be a danger to yourself or others. If we bill your insurance company on your behalf, we may have to release some information requested by your insurance company to process your claim. Otherwise, no information will be released without your written consent.

Location and Fees

I'm located in Arizona and am on the panels of many health insurance companies, including Aetna, Az Care Network, Banner-Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicare. Please contact me for specific fee information.

Appointment Changes

As a courtesy, my office will remind you of your scheduled appointments via telephone and/or voicemail. If you need to cancel or change your appointment time, please notify my office at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you may be charged a $175.00 fee for late cancellations or missed appointments.

Thank you for considering my practice for your mental health needs. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
