About Patricia

Patricia Scott, the founder and lead therapist of Arkansas Psychotherapy Center, has dedicated over 12 years to providing compassionate and effective psychotherapy services. Her expertise stems from her comprehensive education, including graduating from both the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas Little Rock.

Patricia's clinical experience is enriched by a diverse range of internships during her graduate studies. She served at the Geri-Psychiatry Unit at Baptist Health in Little Rock, where she gained valuable insights into the mental health needs of older adults. Her internship at Teen Recovery exposed her to the complexities of adolescent mental health, while her work at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (McClellan Hospital) provided her with extensive experience in addressing the unique challenges faced by veterans, including PTSD.

Following graduation, Patricia honed her skills working under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Ken Counts for five years before establishing her own private practice in 2005. Her commitment to continuous professional development is unwavering. Patricia regularly attends seminars, conferences, and workshops to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field and refine her therapeutic techniques.
