Welcome to Dr. Yaacov J. Kravitz & Mindfulness Based Psychology, where we offer a range of services aimed at promoting health and well-being. Dr. Kravitz, a licensed psychologist, has been in private practice since 1989 and has extensive experience in providing psychotherapy and mindfulness meditation groups. He specializes in helping individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, addictive behavior, chronic illness, and adjustment to illness and disability.
Our practice emphasizes a values-based approach to behavior change. We focus on teaching mindfulness-based practices tailored to each individual's situation, empowering them to apply these skills in difficult situations. Dr. Kravitz has received advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Relational Insight Meditation. He offers individual and group psychotherapy for adults and seniors, with sessions available by appointment.
In addition to traditional psychotherapy, we also offer Mindfulness-Based Groups for Health & Well-Being, which are designed to help individuals develop coping skills and improve their mental health. These groups are led by Dr. Kravitz and are a great way to connect with others who share similar goals and challenges.
At our practice, we understand the importance of creating a supportive environment. We strive to make our services accessible to everyone, accepting insurance such as Medicare and certain Blue Cross - Blue Shield plans. We also offer virtual sessions using encrypted, confidential video conferencing, making it easier for individuals to access our services from anywhere.
