"The wound is the place where the light enters you."~Rumi
At our practice, we specialize in empowering mothers to remain strong, centered, and successful throughout their motherhood journey. Led by Dr. Kumkum P. Malik, a clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience, our team is dedicated to helping mothers navigate the unique challenges and demands of motherhood.
Our Approach
Our clinical training is based in Mind Body Medicine, which examines the interaction between the mind and body to protect emotional and physical well-being. We believe that a mother's wellbeing cannot be understood or supported without respect for her "mom work, " which we recognize as invisible and undervalued in our society. We strive to increase awareness of the societal expectations placed on mothers and the impact they have on emotional and mental health.
Services Offered
We offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of mothers, including:
1. Individual Coaching and Psychotherapy: We provide one-on-one support to mothers, helping them navigate the challenges of motherhood and fostering personal growth and self-awareness.
2. Group Workshops: Our group workshops create a supportive community for mothers, providing a space for shared experiences, learning, and growth.
3. Speaking Engagements: Dr. Malik delivers keynote speeches and workshops at conferences and events, sharing her expertise and insights on motherhood, mental health, and personal growth.
Our Passion
Our practice is built on the belief that motherhood is a journey of deep personal growth, wisdom, and peace of mind. We are committed to helping mothers transform the challenges of motherhood into opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery. We believe that every mother's work is a necessary and powerful force, deserving of respect, understanding, and legitimacy.
