Compassionate care for a brighter tomorrow

As a licensed professional counselor and licensed massage therapist, I, Carolyn Knutson, have dedicated my career to providing holistic therapies that cater to the mind, body, and spirit. I believe that healing is a lifelong journey, and I am committed to walking this path alongside my clients.

Holistic Approach to Mental Health

My approach to therapy combines somatic awareness and mindfulness to address a wide range of issues, including developmental trauma, PTSD, stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, chronic pain, and autoimmune disorders. I draw from the wisdom traditions of yoga and Buddhism, biodynamic fields of human energy systems, and somatic psychotherapy to create a unique and effective healing modality.

Somatic Psychotherapy

Somatic psychotherapy is a non-pathological approach that recognizes the body as a source of wisdom and a path to healing and self-discovery. Through mindfulness, we can become aware of our physical patterns, free ourselves from past traumas, and connect with our true selves. This approach is gentle and effective, using somatic experiencing to process traumatic experiences held in our nervous system.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle and deeply relaxing form of bodywork that focuses on the movement of fluids and energy throughout the brain and spinal cord. This approach views health as the free movement of energy, and by releasing blocks in the physical, emotional, and energetic bodies, we can access our innate health and profound peace.

Energy Healing

The bridge between body and mind is the subtle energy body, which provides the circuitry for our evolution and awakening. I perceive the human energy system through the lens of Vedic philosophy, tantric yoga practices, and Kundalini Vidya (yogic science).

Rates and Insurance

I am in network with PacificSource Health Plans and Trillium Community Health Plan. For other insurance plans, I can provide a bill for out-of-network reimbursement. FSA/HSA payments are also accepted. Out-of-pocket rates start at $180 per hour.

About Carolyn Knutson

As a licensed professional counselor and licensed massage therapist, I have dedicated my career to providing holistic therapies that cater to the mind, body, and spirit. I have extensive training in somatic psychotherapy, craniosacral therapy, and energy healing. My passion is to empower individuals to connect with their true selves and live a life of purpose and fulfillment.

Healing Trauma

Healing trauma is all about working with energy. When we work directly with the energy of trauma, it can unleash incredible forces of potential and growth. The evolutionary impulse is driving us towards healing, pulling the suffering INTO the present so that it can be healed.
