Overview of Psychotherapy
Welcome to my psychotherapy practice, where I provide a safe and supportive space for individuals and families to address a wide range of personal and interpersonal challenges. I view symptoms, distressing emotions, and relationship conflicts not simply as "problems, " but as opportunities for greater personal growth and freedom. I am committed to helping my clients move beyond perceived limitations to reach their fullest potential.
About Social Work
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW #27356) with a Master's degree from the University of California - Berkeley. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). My background in social work has provided me with a deep understanding of the social determinants of health and the impact of systemic inequality on individuals and communities. I am committed to promoting social justice and advocating for my clients within and beyond the therapy room.
My Approach to Psychotherapy
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, drawing from a variety of methods and techniques to best meet the unique needs and goals of each client. I emphasize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, which have been shown to be effective in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful therapy, and I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood.
The Psychotherapy Process
The psychotherapy process typically begins with an initial consultation, where we will discuss your current concerns, goals, and any relevant history. We will also discuss the therapeutic process, including what to expect from therapy, confidentiality, and any questions or concerns you may have. From there, we will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that best meets your needs and goals.
