Empathy, the key to emotional well-being
At David Shaddock PhD, MFT, we understand that the key to emotional well-being is our ability to understand and connect with others empathetically. Unfortunately, past experiences of disrupted attachment or emotional trauma can interfere with our capacity to provide and receive empathy. This is why our approach to psychotherapy is rooted in contemporary Relational Psychoanalysis, seeking to repair our capacity to find, maintain, and provide empathic connections to others.
We offer a range of services to help individuals, couples, and families overcome challenges and achieve a more fulfilling life. Our evidence-based approach is centered on the idea that empathy is the foundation of emotional well-being, and our therapists are trained to help clients develop this capacity. Whether you are seeking to work through personal struggles, improve your relationships, or simply deepen your understanding of yourself and others, we are here to support you.
